Dear Supervisor Johnson,
Per our recent conversation, I am forwarding the attached presentation — Below.

You requested that I compile references to other public-private partnerships that have encountered challenges when transparency became a concern within the corporate culture of the relationship. In order to provide context, I have also included my understanding of the events and issues surrounding the funding of the new museum.
In addition, in the spirit of the 25-880 Resolution for more transparency, I am sending this to you as a concerned citizen and lover of Milwaukee history.
This presentation addresses those concerns and outlines the current issues with the Milwaukee Public Museum’s operations as I have come to understand them from reviewing the documents involved, video, and print. It also highlights how similar transparency challenges have impacted other partnerships.

Quote from the Presentation
“The Milwaukee Public Museum's artifacts and exhibits are legally owned by Milwaukee County, as stated in the 2013 Museum Lease and Management Agreement. However, MPM Inc. has repeatedly ignored demands for transparency and accountability from both the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors and the public. This pattern of non-compliance raises serious concerns about the museum’s ability to responsibly manage public assets and casts doubt on the future of its public-private partnership. Immediate action is needed to enforce transparency and protect Milwaukee’s cultural heritage.”
