


Public Pushback
What Dr. Ellen Censky dismisses as "public pushback" we believe is the voice of the true owners of the collections, exhibits, dioramas, built-ins, etc. For years, PreserveMKE and members of the community have been trying to get information and have a voice in the future not only of the new museum, but the current museum.
The people’s demands are clear: transparency, preservation, financial accountability, and County control of collections.
The Board’s legal responsibilities under Wis. Stat. §§ 19.31 & 19.81–98, and County ordinances, require them to conduct open meetings, provide public records, and exercise fiduciary stewardship over the museum collections and taxpayer funds.
