Public Forum?

Parks Committee Meeting

Tuesday, September 2

9 AM room 203-R

901 N. 9th Courthouse

Even though we were told there would be a "public process" to discuss the disposition of "all non-collection items that are not moving to the new museum or offsite storage," it now appears that showing up as Item 9 on the Committee on Parks and Culture agenda may be the only public hearing the community will ever get.

How is this public?  The future of the museum will be discussed — but leadership has chosen to bury this conversation inside a routine committee meeting, with no real public notice or outreach.

This is our chance to show up and make our voices impossible to ignore.

How you can help:

  • Submit an e-comment

  • Attend the meeting and help us pack the room.

  • Spread the word so others know this date matters.

This isn’t just about nostalgia. It’s about ownership, accountability, and what we leave for the next generation.
